One of the more unique way to experience Colorado's Rocky Mountains is via rail.  Any train that travels through the Colorado mountains immediately becomes scenic unless, of course, the rider is trapped inside a boxcar or has fallen asleep.  There are a number of rail companies that offer visitors a chance to experience a romantic and energizing trip.  From the Pike's Peak Cog Railway near Colorado Springs to the Royal Gorge Route in Canon City and several others.
