Rancho Alegre Lodge, a luxury vacation home rental, is located in the heart of Jackson Hole, just south of Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. The lodge offers ideal accommodations for family reunions, corporate retreats, travel and ski groups, wedding parties and photo shoots.

Additional Information:

Perfectly nestled on a private 50-acre hilltop meadow, Rancho Alegre Lodge hosts five spacious suites, six ornate marble bathrooms and cherry oak floors. This 10,000 square foot home is graciously appointed with Western and European antiques.

Each bedroom features a television, telephone, refrigerator, feather bed and down comforter. Amenities include daily maid service, concierge, chef, professional size pool table, seven fireplaces, on property cross country track and spa. Jet service into Jackson Hole Airport is also available.

Jackson Hole is like no place on earth, offering myriad of activities. During the spring, summer and fall enjoy whitewater rafting, fly fishing, hiking biking and wildlife viewing. In the winter, Jackson Hole becomes a playground for the all around ski enthusiast, hosting three world class ski resorts in the surrounding area. Dog sledding, snowmobiling and sleigh riding are just some of the outdoor winter activities to enjoy.

Rich in sensational views and beauty, Rancho Alegre Lodge is perfectly located just minutes from the town of Jackson, and Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. We offer superior, customized service in a charming and relaxed environment. The lodge, combined with its natural surroundings, offers a most memorable Rocky Mountain experience.

Rancho Alegre Lodge is rich in history, built in 1951 from the design of a New Jersey architect, William Thompson. The original 1,800 square foot home was built for a prominent Wyoming family, the Hufsmith Family and the house sits on Hufsmith Hill. The Hufsmith family occupied the house until 1958.

Nearly three decades passed before the home reached the hands of a Dutchman and a New England lady. The two envisioned the Hufsmith family home into the Rancho Alegre Lodge we know today. They purchased the property in 1981 and began remodeling the 1,800 square foot original home to a 10,000 square foot lodge. In 1988 they opened the doors of Rancho Alegre Lodge to the public and operated the property as a bed and breakfast.

Frank Reilly and brother, Tom had an interest in Jackson Hole, mainly for the unsurpassed powder that Jackson Hole’s ski seasons offer. The two shared a cabin in the town of Jackson and spent as much time as they could in the valley. Frank had fallen in love with a beautiful lady, Heather Davis, and the two spent many holidays in the valley and fell upon the Rancho Alegre Lodge property in 1994.

Frank decided the best way to know a place was to experience it, so he checked into the lodge as a guest, for a month. Immediately, he fell in love with the property and the house. He and Heather were married here in July 1995. Shortly thereafter, the newlyweds became the proud owners of Rancho Alegre Lodge.

Since July 1995, many guest have come to Rancho Alegre Lodge to experience what Jackson Hole has to offer. There is no better way to experience this valley than to experience it from a private, pristine hill-top with awe inspiring 360 degree mountain views and the comforts of luxury and charm of this gracious home. The name Rancho Alegre means happy, comfortable, warm ambience, and the lodge has lived up to its name and expectations.

BEDROOMS
Every bedroom promises breathtaking views and a great night’s sleep on our goose down bed comforters and Ralph Lauren linens. All rooms also have a TV/VCR, telephone, and a small refrigerator with drinking water.

MAIN FLOOR
Teton Suite
This suite is the master suite in the house and features European antiques dated back into the 15th century.

First Room - A large room with one queen size bed, one twin size daybed, walk-in closet, large sitting area, and private bathroom. Guests must pass through this room to gain access to the second room of the suite.

Master Room - This room offers beautiful views of the Teton Mountains, with a vaulted ceiling, one king size bed, private bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, a pellet stove, and a private deck through French doors.

GROUND FLOOR
Three Suites
Cowboy Suite - A large room with two queen size beds and a sitting area, private bathroom, walk-in closet, and Western views with a lower level deck through French doors.

Sun Suite - A bright room with Southern and Western views, one king size bed, walk-in closet, private bathroom, and a small sitting area. The lower level deck can also be accessed through French doors.

Garden Suite - A Southern view room with two queen size beds, sitting area, private bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, and access to the lower deck through French doors.

UPSTAIRS
Cougar Suite
Sleigh Room - A small room with one double size sleigh bed, offering Northern and Western views. The closet is set in the hallway.

Sunflower Room - A large room with a Southern exposure and private deck. The room has one king size bed and a reach-in closet.

There are also 2 alcove areas where a double bed is set in each alcove. This bedding is great for children. There is one bathroom for all rooms to share on this floor.
