Rimrock Dude Ranch Description: Rimrock Dude Ranch offers vacations in the Northern Rockies, for anybody, who likes horseback riding, mountain scenery and fishing. Additional Information: Rimrock is a second-generation, family-owned and operated ranch. Gary and Dede Fales are continuing a 48 year history, started in 1956 by Gary's parents, Glenn and Alice Fales.We are proud of our history of entertaining guests, some who have vacationed with us for over 30 years. At Rimrock Dude Ranch, we entertain families, friends and singles. Our small size (about 30 guests), makes it possible for everyone to be on a personal and first name basis. We are proud of our weekly schedule, and think it, along with our small size, is one of the reasons for our prolonged popularity. Rimrock Ranch is located only 26 miles from the East Entrance of Yellowstone National Park, on the border of the Shoshone National Forest and nestled on Canyon Creek in the middle of the Absaroka Range of the Rocky Mountains. CABINS You will enjoy modern cabins, with private baths, and maid service. We have nine different cabins from small, for just a couple, to large cabins which are comfortable for large families. The cabins are nestled on both sides of Canyon Creek which runs through the middle of the ranch. Activities: Yellowstone National Park:
Yellowstone National Park is a treasure, known by travelers from around the world. In 1872 Congress established Yellowstone as the world's first national park. The magmatic heat powers the park's famous geysers, hot springs, fumaroles, and mud pots. Park roads sample but a fraction of Yellowstone Park. The rest is backcountry with 1000 miles of trails. Our wilderness pack trips will take you to this beautiful backcountry.
Cody:
Cody, Wyoming, located 52 miles from the East Entrance to Yellowstone National Park. was founded in 1896 by Colonel William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody. When the Buffalo Bill Dam, located just west of Cody, was completed in 1910, it was the highest dam in the world. The dam has recently been raised by 25 feet. Year-round recreational opportunities are almost limitless in Cody with the surrounding mountains, forest and wilderness areas. Other Cody attractions: Buffalo Bill Historical Center, Cody Nite Rodeo, Foundation for North American Wild Sheep, Cody Mural, Trail Town, Cody Wildlife Exhibit, The Irma Hotel, Historic Downtown District. Buffalo Bill Reservoir, Wapiti Ranger Station (oldest in United States). Buffalo Bill Dam Visitor Center.
