Red Cliffs Lodge Description:
The lodge is located 14 miles up the Colorado River on scenic Hwy 128. Red Cliffs Adventure Lodge sits on the bend of the river known as "White's rapids" some of the best white water on that stretch of river.

Additional Information:
Western settlers ventured into the Moab Valley a little more than 100 years ago. Many ranches were established at that time because a great number of the settlers were stockmen and cowboys, looking for native grass to support their cattle. The Red Cliffs Ranch was homesteaded by a cowboy family at the turn of the century and has been a working ranch ever since, raising cattle and horses.

On April 18, 2002, the Red Cliffs Ranch opened as the Red Cliffs Resort, offering guests a ranch-like experience amid luxurious Western charm.

The Red Cliffs Lodge sits high on the banks of the Colorado River surrounded by cliffs reaching 2000 feet high. Its interior boasts 20-foot ceilings, wood-paneled walls, log furniture and floors covered in imported Mexican tile. The guestrooms all face east toward the river and feature private patios and kitchenettes. A honeymoon / executive suite overlooking the famous White's Rapid is also available and includes an outdoor hot tub.

The lodge also has a large conference room, a small bar and a terraced dining room that features a traditional menu of entrée items and homemade desserts.

The resort even has its own winery, the Castle Creek Winery. Several varieties of award-winning wines are produced from a dozen local growers. The winery includes a tasting room and gift shop.

Castle Creek Winery opened its doors in the spring of 2002 moving from the downtown location in Moab. The winery building is 18,000 sq ft which houses the winery, a tasting room, outdoor deck and office space. Guests may take a self guided winery tour at their leisure.

The main lodge has a 4,000 sq ft meeting room equipped with state of the art electronics for almost any type of meeting. There is a movie museum with memorabilia from the movies filmed at Red Cliff's Ranch and the surrounding Moab area. The museum displays items from the John Wayne era as well as recent films such as Thelma & Louise and Breakout.

The rooms at Red Cliffs Lodge are all river fronting with private patios overlooking the Colorado river just 100 feet away. The scenery is both spectacular and private. Each room has an individual patio which is East facing, providing morning sun and afternoon shade. But for those still needing to connect to the outside world there is a DSL internet connnection in each room.

The interior of the rooms are knotty pine and muted stucco colors. Solid log furniture is featured throughout. Every room is a mini suite with a separate kitchenette that includes sink, coffee pot, refrigerator, microwave, large counter and four place dining table with chairs. The bathroom area is fully tiled with bathtub/shower combo. The floors of the suites are a combination of carpet and mexican satillo tile. The beds are situated to provide our guests with a beautiful view of the river from their bed.

One Honeymoon/Executive suite is available. This unit includes a sitting room, separate kitchen area, a second bedroom with bath and a magnificent master suite with a huge custom tiled walk-in shower. The suite opens out to a private 1600 sq. foot patio/deck that features a hot tub and full set of patio furniture. The executive suite is located at the end of the resort near the famous White’s rapid providing privacy with the gentle sound of rushing water and spectacular scenery.

Amenities:
Each room has a coffeemaker, refrigerator, microwave & sink with outdoor patio facing the Colorado River. All overnight rooms have a queen size sofa sleeper, table & chairs and either 1 King bed or 2 European doubles.

Activities:
Activities include horseback riding, mountain biking, white water rafting, hiking, guided tours and visiting the national parks (Arches, Canyonlands and Dead Horse State Park). Red Cliff's Lodge also offers an exercise room, laundry facility, pool and spa.
