Big Lost Ranch Description: Big Lost Ranch offers rental of a secluded rustic mountain property just east of Sun Valley on the Big Lost River in the wilderness of Idaho mountains.Additional Information: Nestled between the majestic Pioneer and Boulder Mountains, 18 miles east of Sun Valley Idaho over Trail Creek Summit, and 34 miles north west of Mackay, lies our very private "Big Lost Ranch." For the first time ever, this unique historic property is available for vacation rentals. The ranch has a river (the North Fork of the Big Lost), ponds, incredible views in all directions and world class recreation opportunities.The entire ranch is available in two formats. If you seek complete privacy, the whole place is yours! If you prefer more cozy accommodations, we'll be happy to provide for you in our cabins. The recently remodeled Ranch House is a log structure, parts of which date back to the late 1800's. It has all the modern amenities and a great stone fireplace. The main house has three bedrooms, a nice big kitchen, dining room and a lodge style living room. Windows abound and each has a spectacular view. Our three rustic guest cabins are 200 yards away from the main house, and are right on the river. These provide lodging on a per night basis, and nightly barbecues are available. Main Ranch House This is the main ranch house. The master bedroom has a king size bed and a private full bath. There are two more bedrooms in the main house. One has a double bed while the other has bunk beds. Cabins About 200 yards away from the main house are the cabins on the river. There are three separate cabins, each with it's own unique amenities. The cabins are available with the main ranch house, or on their own on a nightly rental basis. Activities: If you are looking for a private location in the mountains with a remote setting, this is it!
Bring your children, pets, friends, or use it for a family reunion or small corporate retreat. The fly fishing is excellent throughout the entire Big Lost Drainage, with numerous streams and very little fishing pressure. As an added bonus, there are two stocked ponds on the ranch.
This serene, peaceful, historic ranch is an outdoorsman's delight. Especially if you like to hike, mountain bike, fish, ride horseback, view wildlife, or hunt in the fall.
If you like, you can bring your own horses. We have 30 acres of fenced pasture

There are miles of scarcely visited majestic wilderness surrounding the ranch, just waiting for your exploration
Kane Lake, considered one of the most exquisite mountain lakes in Idaho, is within hiking distance with a short drive
Mountain biking is a favorite pastime at the ranch with trails and fire roads for all levels of riders
Horseback day rides, or guided fishing can be arranged
Enjoy a hot tub by the pond and take in that panoramic view
Wildlife around the ranch is spectacular - just keep your eyes open |
