Timber House Ski Lodge Description: Timber House Ski Lodge offers a traditional ski lodge experience with a family style breakfast and dinner, ski in/ski out trail, and communal lounge with a fireplace.
Additional Information: The way ski vacations use to be (and should be still!) The Timber House Ski Lodge offers its guests a traditional ski lodge experience. Family style breakfast and dinner, ski in on the Billy Woods Trail (The Timber House is adjacent to the ski area!), after skiing all day relax in the lounge by the fireplace with hot cider and a snack, or hop in the hot tub and sauna to rejuvenate! Our family run ski lodge has a warm welcome waiting for you!
Activities: Winter Park/Mary Jane now has 121 trails, 7 high speed express quad, 5 triple and 8 double chairlifts with a uphill lift capacity of 33,710 skiers per hour. Snowmaking capabilities on 24 trails covering 274 acres, guarantees the opening of Winter Park before Thanksgiving.
Vertical drop at Winter Park is 1700 feet; at Mary Jane, 2610 feet; top of Parsenn Bowl to Winter Park, 3060 feet. Longest run at Winter Park is 2 miles; at Mary Jane, 4.5 miles. A smooth 21/2 mile run connects Mary Jane with Winter Park.
Mary Jane now has a "Backside" for intermediates and experts. Intermediates will love the glades (ask Don for a guided tour) and near treeline skiing. The "Backside" is located South and East of the Mary Jane complex and is serviced by the Challenger (double) and Summit (quad) chairlifts.
Downtown Winter Park and the surrounding Fraser Valley Area offer many other activities and diversions.
Winter Activities include snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, riding in a horse-drawn sleigh or even a dog sled. The Fraser Valley is known for its incredible wildlife: You might see a fox, elk, deer or even a moose.
Downtown Winter Park and Fraser have plenty of shops and nightlife to keep you busy if you haven't had enough skiing all day long!
During the summer enjoy mountain biking, horseback riding, or by hiking. Rafting trips down the thrilling Colorado River are a short distance away. Riding horseback, aboard a horse-drawn wagon or stagecoach will give you a real feel for the wild west. There's never a lack of something to do during our glorious summer time!
