Winter Park's first lodging establishment, Beaver Lodge is nestled in the foothills of the Continental Divide adjoining the Arapaho National Forest. Affectionately known as "The Beav's", Beaver Lodge is perfectly located 1½ miles from the Winter Park Ski Area on the free shuttle route, just a couple of blocks from downtown.

Beaver Lodge is a classic ski lodge with it's roots in the Old West. It opened on Thanksgiving Day in 1940, the same year the Winter Park Ski Area, and has been offering comfortable accommodations and hearty meals ever since.

A Winter Park Tradition, and popular also as pet friendly lodging, Beaver Lodge has earned a reputation for catering to groups, families and individuals alike from all over the world. A warm welcome and relaxed atmosphere is assured.

Beaver Lodge has long been a first choice for families staying in Winter Park. All rooms in our Main Lodge and Lake Lodges have private bathroom, TV & telephone.

Snowmobiling: Take an exciting backcountry adventure to the Continental Divide with an experienced professional guide, or go on an unguided tour & explore the many miles of marked, groomed trails & open meadows. Some of the trails follow the historic train route over the Continental Divide before the Moffat Tunnel was constructed. Enjoy excellent views of the entire Ski Area and the Fraser Valley. Sleigh Rides: Mid-day & afternoon sleigh rides through wooded areas and open meadows, views of the Ski Area, a friendly campfire for hot chocolate. Dog-sled Rides: Let a trained team of experienced sled dogs take you on an exhilarating ride across the river and through the meadows between Beaver Village & Idlewild.
