THE GOLDEN DOOR SPA:
Wyndham Peaks Resort & Golden Door Spa is nestled amidst 14,000-foot Rocky Mountain peaks, overlooking the historic town of Telluride and surrounded by spectacular natural vistas in every direction. What better setting than this magnificent alpine resort for a spa that restores guests' spirit and energy.

When Deborah Szekely created the original Golden Door at Escondido, California in 1958, she set the standard for luxury spas worldwide. Szekely was inspired by the ancient Honjin inns of Japan...sanctuaries where weary travelers could relax and recharge. The Golden Door continues in the tradition of these inns, restoring guests through a complete program of personal well being.

The Golden Door in Escondido has long been limited to lavishing its life-enhancing experience on only 39 guests each week. Inspired by the positive changes its guests experienced, Golden Door now takes great delight in the opportunity to extend its philosophy, services and benefits to a larger audience. Golden Door Spa at The Peaks continues taking the rejuvenation of mind, body and spirit to the next level, with specialized treatments and invigorating activities that make use of the spectacular Rocky Mountain setting.

Resort Guest Membership
All guests at the Wyndham Peaks Resort & Golden Door Spa, age 16 and over, are invited to enjoy complimentary use of the fitness level and the Men's and Women's Kivas. Additionally, the Kivas offer lockers, showers, lounges and a variety of Spa amenities including robes, slippers, shorts, swimsuits and T-shirts. The fitness level features a 25-yard lap pool, Cybex weight room, cardiovascular deck and exercise studios.

For families with younger guests, the Spa offers an indoor/outdoor pool heated year-round, along with a water slide, sauna, steam and whirlpools on the recreation level. Also on this level are lockers, showers and changing areas.
