The Rabbit Ears Motel is located across the street for the world famous Steamboat Springs Hot Springs and Health Club. Other near-by attractions include raft trips, mountain biking, fishing, boat rentals, ATV rentals, horseback riding, and scenic tours. Amenities: Guests can choose from a variety of room sizes, many with private balconies overlooking the scenic Yampa River. Steamboat Ski School
Steamboat is going to make learning to ski or ride fun and easy. Experience Steamboat’s innovative method of introducing you to skiing and riding. It’s guaranteed to make you successful.
The Perfect Turn Ski and Snowboard School coaches all levels of ability from the never-ever skiier/rider to the expert looking to shave seconds off that race time.
The Ski & snowboard School also has many different programs to suit your needs including the Rough Riders Program for kids, adult group clinics, private coaching, racing and video programs and special clinics for mature skiiers/riders.
Visit the Steamboat Perfect Turn Ski & Snowboard School Office located on the gondola level of Gondola Square, 7:30am-5pm daily (hours and programs vary during early season and late spring). Drop in to enroll in any program in advance. You may want to stop by between 10:30am and 4pm, when our staff can be most helpful. You can purchase your lift ticket when you enroll.
About The Mountain
Steamboat is actually a complete mountain range: Mount Werner, Sunshine Peak, Storm Peak, Thunderhead Peak, Pioneer Ridge and Christie Peak. 2,939 acres (1176 hectares) of permitted terrain offer a diversity of trails for all levels of ability. Gladed areas of Sunshine and Storm Peaks are Steamboat's particular claim to fame, with "Champagne Powder TM" in the trees for the most avid powder hounds. The Morningside Park Expansion opened 179 acres of new terrain at Steamboat during the 97/98 season. The four-phase Pioneer Ridge Expansion, a 770-acre area of intermediate and advanced terrain to the north of the existing ski area began in 1998. |
