Rita's Last Resort Description: From the start in 1990 the Last Resort has existed for the sole purpose of making guest vacations special and memorable . Tell us what you need and we'll make it happen. We emphasize personal service. Now in our 10th year we know all the secrets for ensuring a spectacular experience in central Colorado. We can point you to the best spots in the area for hiking, biking, skiing, and exploring the backcountry.Additional Information: At the Last Resort we make it a very easy place to stay. Flexible check-in, check-out. TV/VCR, phone/fax, steam room, huge library, large comfortable casual sun rooms. Invite a friend to breakfast for free. An active sense of humor and a good attitude might get you a discount, and will definitely make us friends. The house began with a log cabin over 100 years ago, and has continuously been added to and updated with excellence and comfort in mind. A panoramic view of the mountains and town dominate the breakfast room and living areas. The rooms at Rita's Last Resort are casual, clean and comfortable. Whether it's a little music, curling up with a book, a sneaking a snack or just peaceful sleeping - you'll feel right at home. Each of the 6 bedrooms has a queen size bed (1 has a king size), it's own bath and unique sense of of charm. Breakfast at the Last Resort is not skimpy! Come prepared to have juice, coffee, homemade baked goods, eggs, pancakes, waffles, toast, bacon. Not all in the same morning! But the daily variety will keep you coming back! It's all right here. In the heart of downtown Crested Butte. Walk to everything! Turn right or left to the best restaurants, saloons and shops in Colorado. Free shuttle to the ski area. Hike, bike, and cross country ski right out the door. Our quaint old foot bridge over the scenic Coal Creek separates you and connects you to all parts of town. Amenities: In addition to the house and rooms the Last Resort has some other nice things. Like the spacious horticultural parkland adjorning the front. Here are some photos showing various views around the Last Resort. The guest themselves can be a real treat. Many are from countries outside the US and almost all are ardent outdoor enthusiasts - from bird watchers to mountain climbers. The Last Resort has gained a following of regulars who enjoy the whimsy and eclectic ambience that permeates Rita's Last Resort. Two recent visitors from Austin on their honeymoon had this to say: "We stayed at Rita's Last Resort Bed & Breakfast. We met Rita through a mutual friend and she made our stay at Crested Butte a very memorable one. She has a beautiful place!
