With our downtown location you can walk to our charming central business district, or head down the hill to one of Colorado Springs' oldest and most beautiful parks, Monument Valley. And all the glorious sights of the Pikes Peak Region are just minutes away.

With 25 rooms, ranging from cozy and comfortable to premium suites, the Hearthstone Inn is big enough to maintain your anonymity (if that's what you seek), yet small enough to let our staff tend to your needs in a relaxed atmosphere.

Spend a few days with us in our historic inn and wake to Colorado sunlight streaming through leaded glass and the tempting scents of your gourmet breakfast wafting from the dining room. We welcome you to our distinctive Colorado Springs Bed and Breakfast Inn and invite you to experience some special leisure and relaxation time.

The Bemis House (506 N. Cascade) - GROUND FLOOR
Study Suite - Elegant two room suite. Bedroom with queen size brass bed, working fireplace with oak mantel, reading chair, window seat, built-in bookcases, private bath with tub/shower. Entry parlor room with two couches, tables and reading lamps. Each couch converts to a single bed.

Victorian Room - Uniquely shaped room, lots of angles, rich colors of burgundy and blue, oak headboards, lace curtains, one double bed and one twin bed, private bath with shower.

Hideaway - Small, bright, cheerful room, set off by itself, windows facing south and west, double bed with walnut headboard, private bath with tub/shower.

SECOND FLOOR
Solarium - Romantic corner room with spacious open air "full moon" latticed porch, queen size brass and white iron bed, overstuffed chairs, walnut dresser and table, private bath with shower.

Conservatory - Large elegant room, four windows in a bay, magnificent Victorian walnut and marble furnishings, small writing desk, double bed, private bath with shower.

Sewing Room - Small, bright room, west facing view, antique treadle sewing machine functions as night stand, double bed with maple headboard, private bath with tub/shower.

Drawing Room - Small room, muted shades of cream, beige and burgundy, queen bed with cherry headboard, private bath with shower.

West Room - Small, bright corner room, set off by itself, windows facing south and west, matched oak bedroom set, double bed, private bath with tub/shower.

Library - Elegant, intimate room, oak mantel, original tiles surrounding the working fireplace, built-in bookcases, love seat, queen size bed with walnut headboard, private bath with tub/shower.

Governess' Quarters - Bright, pleasant room, colors of forest green, gold and white, queen size bed with cherrywood headboard, small private bath with shower.

THIRD FLOOR
Peak View - Spacious, comfortable room with a view of Pikes Peak, king size bed, writing desk, large rocker, serene colors of blue and white, private bath with tub/shower.

Butler's Quarters - Pleasant corner room, windows tucked into dormers, angled ceilings, queen size bed with cherrywood headboard, private bath with tub/shower.

Dormer Room - Cute, tiny room with ceiling slanting to the floor, oak double bed. No private bath; bath with shower down the hall. (Shares bath with Gable Room.)

Gable Room - Small, cozy room, tucked under the eaves, oak double bed. No private bath; bath with shower down the hall. (Shares bath with Dormer Room.)

The Sumner House (514 N. Cascade) - GROUND FLOOR
Fireside - Grand, elegant room in rich soft colors of blue and beige, king size brass and blue iron bed, fainting couch, oak armoire, working fireplace. Latticed open air porch. French doors separate the bedroom from the dressing area and private bath with tub/shower.

Coachman's Room - Unusual, large room with double columns, light colors of cream and teal. Oak twin beds (can be converted to a king bed), several large windows. Private bath features a shower for two, with dual shower heads. (This room is accessible for mobility impaired.)

SECOND FLOOR
Master's Quarters - Spacious, bright, elegant corner room, large windows facing south and east, king size brass bed, Victorian walnut dresser, private bath with tub/shower.

Terrace Suite - Luxurious two room suite. Bedroom with queen size brass bed, walnut dresser. Sitting room has a day-bed couch with a trundle bed (converts to two single beds) and a private enclosed latticed porch. Private bath with tub/shower.

Mountainside - Bright, pleasant, small room with view of the mountains, soft colors of blue and ivory, queen size bed, walnut furnishings, private bath with tub/shower.

Billiard Room - Comfortable room with unusual curved wall, one large north facing window, wingback reading chair, queen size bed, private bath with tub/shower.

Author's Den - Corner room, colors of blue and ivory, oak bedroom set with queen bed, private bath with large shower.

Music Room - Cozy room, rich colors of blue dresser, wingback reading chair, double bed, private bath with large shower.

THIRD FLOOR
Loft - Large, long room with three windows, white iron bed, oak writing table, private bath with tub and hand held shower. (Slant of ceiling prevents standing in the shower.)

East Room - Romantic, cheerful room with windows inset in large, outlined keyhole dormer, queen size brass and beige iron bed, love seat, private bath with tub/shower.

Solitude - Romantic corner room, windows set into outlined keyhole dormers, rich colors of deep blue and white, king size brass bed, private bath with tub/shower.

All of the rooms in the Hearthstone Inn offer you a refuge from the busy world. Victorian era furnishings and décor provide comfort and serenity.

On-Site Restaurant
Our restaurant is open for breakfast (included with your stay), lunch, dinner and Sunday Brunch. You'll have to plan on having a relaxing dining experience during your visit. Discuss your afternoon's activities over a leisurely lunch or enjoy a wonderful bottle of wine with your dinner. If you have friends or relatives in the area, invite them to join you at the Hearthstone Inn!

Conference Room
If you're planning a meeting or any special event, we can accommodate up to 50 people in our conference room, or close off the dining room (up to 65 people) for your function. What a great way to bring a group together -- all in the charming Victorian surrounding of the Hearthstone Inn.

For business travelers or for those who need to keep apace with the modern world, however, several rooms have telephones and high-speed internet access.

Fireplaces, Private Porches
Guests seeking that extra special experience can request a room with a working fireplace, a private porch, or both. In the warmer months, you can enjoy breakfast on your own porch!

Snacks and Beverages
Hot coffee, hot tea, hot cider, iced tea and lemonade are always available in the parlor, along with the Chef's choice of snacks, ranging from melt-in-your-mouth chocolate chip cookies, to the muffins of the day, to a spicy hot snack mix. Enjoy!

Our small gift shop provides you with some extras you may want to pick up, whether it's a bottle of wine for the evening, or a T-shirt to remember your visit.

Activities:

The Hearthstone Inn is located in downtown Colorado Springs. Guests can walk to coffeehouses, bookstores, boutiques, restaurants, downtown parks and museums. Enjoy a stroll through the North End Historic District, or through the campus of nearby Colorado College. Jogging and biking trails, tennis courts, demonstration gardens, and a public pool are just a few minutes walk away in Monument Valley Park behind The Hearthstone Inn. Explore some of the special local Colorado attractions. With spectacular red rock formations, the Garden of the Gods park is only 10 minutes away as is the Olympic Training Center. Twenty minutes to the north is the Air Force Academy. Spend half a day for a wonderful and leisurely trip to the top of Pikes Peak on the Pikes Peak Cog railway, 15 minutes to the west. Only an hour south of Colorado Springs is the Royal Gorge Bridge, the world's highest suspension bridge! No matter how much or how little time you have in Colorado Springs, you'll find spectacular, natural beauty as well as interesting activities.
