Black Forest Bed & Breakfast Description: Picture yourself in a massive log home built in the majestic Black Forest, the highest point east of the Rocky Mountains. Experience panoramic views with all the beauty of the Rockies, the towering Ponderosa pines, the golden aspens and the fragrant meadows, while being only 10 minutes to "town" and only 15-30 minutes to most of the tourist attractions of the Pikes Peak region.Additional Information: I am Susie Redden. I designed and built the exterior of our Lodge Log Home in the summer of 1984 and have been painstakingly finishing the interior. During the summer of 1990, we finished the Bed & Breakfast wing with your comfort and enjoyment in mind.Your relaxing day begins with the arrival of a delicious breakfast tray of hot muffins and fresh fruit brought to your door. Enjoy breakfast in bed or on the terrace - your choice. Juices, a coffee maker and a selection of coffees and teas are always available in your room or suite. If you are a lover of log homes or have ever dreamed of building your own log home, we will show you the ropes. Also, if you are planning on relocating to the Colorado Springs area, Susie is a licensed real estate broker with over 20 years experience with the Rawhide Company Realtors and can assist you with all your real estate needs. This rustic mountain setting is complete with 20 rolling acres of Ponderosa pines to explore. And if you want to experience mountain living to the fullest extent, we will be more than happy to share our chores with you, from cutting firewood to planting Christmas trees. The Main House His - Queen Bed, private bath, views of the forest and eastern plains. Hers - Daybed with pop-up trundle, private bath, Rocky Mountain views. His and Hers as a SUITE and the SITTING ROOM with a futon sleeper and kitchenette. Sleeps 6. The Haven Haven - 1,600 sq. ft greenhouse, lap pool, fitness center, sauna, living room with fireplace, full kitchen, two futon sleepers, 2nd bath and laundry. Honeymoon suite with queen size bed, and master bath with "tub for two." Sleeps 6. The Barn The Loft - Two bedrooms, queen bed, bunk room with full bed, futon sleeper in living room. Full kitchen, laundry room, fireplace, panoramic Rocky Mountain and city lights view. Sleeps 5. The Ark - King bed, whirlpool tub, fireplace, full kitchen, two futon sleepers in living room. Sleeps 4. Wheelchair accessible. LOG CABINS Homestead Bunkhouse Sleeps 6-8 people. Our Bunkhouse has 3 sleeping areas, full kitchen and bath. Homestead Cabin Original 1929 Chinked Log Cabin with fireplace, full kitchen and bath. Our Homestead Cabin offers a relaxing covered front porch. The Chalet - NEW! Our newest addition sleeps 12! With 2 queen bedrooms and baths downstairs and a full bedroom, full sleeping loft upstairs, 2 futon sleepers in the living room, full kitchen and free laundry, this A-frame guest house is ideal for the large family or small reunion! It is on its own acre of pines right across the road from our B&B. Activities: Enjoy an abundance of outdoor activities in the area....
