Your hosts Trip and Kelly Butler welcome you to their High Country Bed and Breakfast Inn. It is tucked in amongst spruce, pine, aspen and beautiful wildflowers, and, yet, is just 2 1/2 blocks from the River Walk and Main Street in the historic gold-mining town of Breckenridge, Colorado. In addition, it is only 1 1/2 blocks from your last ski run of the day.

From the Bed and Breakfast Inn, it is only a few minutes on the free shuttle up Ski Hill Road to cross-country ski trails and the Peak 8 ski lift and super slide.

A traditional Bed and Breakfast lodging ambiance is offered at THE HUNT PLACER INN BED AND BREAKFAST, where guests are treated like friends. The style is one of elegant comfort, with an international flavour to the cuisine as well as the decor.

Gold was first found in the Blue River Valley in 1859, and Breckenridge was born. Since those exciting days, other precious fields have been discovered. The Bed and Breakfast Inn is located on the actual mining claim of Hunt Placer - placer mining involved the use of water under high pressure to loosen gravel from the hillsides, which was then run through sluice boxes to filter out the gold.

Next door, you will find Colorado's only placer mining park, the Summit Historical Society's restored Lomax Placer Gulch, which includes an assay office and a miner's cabin.

The three magnificent mini-suites and five elegant guest rooms all feature a private bath, private balcony and private telephone with dataport. Each room has been individually designed to reflect the High Country way of life. In addition, each mini-suite boasts a private gas fireplace.

All of our lodging accommodations guests may enjoy our luxurious new outdoor hot tub. A perfect way to revitalize before an evening on the town, or enjoy a soothing star-lit interlude during a romantic getaway.

Your stay will include a delicious and bountiful homemade breakfast. We change our menu daily, and typically, would tempt you with fresh orange juice, granola with seasonal fruit and orange-cinnamon french toast souffle with caramel sauce. And what kind of B&B would we be if we didn't offer gourmet coffee and specialty teas. .

Every afternoon, we serve a refreshing treat by the fire or on the sun deck. Indulge yourself by enjoying items such as Kelly's award-winning Chocolate/Caramel cake or an offering of wine and cheese.

All this served on fine china, crystal and silver in a magical setting, plus the opportunity to make new friends, will make your visit a memorable one!
