Snowmass Home Description: Exclusive, luxurious custom wood and stone vacation home situated on a mountainside in a refreshing forest of aspen trees. Available year-round. A vacation at our home is a memorable Rocky Mountain alpine experience. And it is available for rent or as a home exchange.
Additional Information: Everyone loves this room! It boasts a high vaulted ceiling, massive river rock fireplace which extends throughout the house and lots of windows on 3 sides. The inviting and comfortble style gives a welcoming feeling to the whole family.
The stone fireplace extends three stories high! And it is magnificent. As you can see in the photo above, you gain access from the rest of the house through an impressive massive stone archway.
The house is paneled throughout with an unusual pattern of beetle-killed pine, hand selected by our builder in northern Colorado, milled and cut to custom sizes on the job. This rustic paneling has beautifully varied hues and patterns.
The house is over 3,800 sq. ft. with 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, and is designed to accommodate 9 people. Children are welcome! (No smokers or pets please.)
This is Snowmass Ski Area. You can almost see the whole ski mountain in this view: Fanny Hill, Sam's Knob, Big Burn, High Alpine, Elk Camp. The house is conviently located and close to two ski lifts to this beautiful ski area.
It's located at the end of a very well maintained road. And, of course, in the summertime we're surrounded by wonderful green aspen groves.
We're a few minutes away from Snowmass Village and the free bus transit system, shopping, and postal and town services. The town of Aspen is only about 20 minutes away; as well as, the other ski mountains: Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk. The elevation here is 8,300 ft.
