Staying at Nicklaus North, 1.8km from the village cantre, delight in the solitude of the great outdoors, the soaring mountains, the vast lakes, the cross country trails and the wonderful golf course. Or maybe you would rather enjoy the comfort of the big fire, or soaking in the hot tub on the deck. Swimming, skating and gymnasium are available just five minutes walk away at the Meadow Park Sports Centre.

You may prefer to stay in the Village in one of our superbly furnished and equipped town homes. These range from studio to four bedrooms, are located in Village North just ten minutes walk to the lift base and are adjacent to all restaurants and shops.

Nicklaus
Six bedrooms, five bathrooms four of which are en-suite. River Rock Fireplace, slate and hardwood flooring, stunning mountain views. Beautifully equipped kitchen. Hot tub on rear deck

Montebello
Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. New home, close to Village North. Superbly equipped and furnished. Hardwood and stone floors, views over Blackcomb and Whistler mountains, hot tub.

Palmer
Five bedrooms, five bathrooms, all en-suite. Fitted with the very latest kitchen and home entertainment equipment. Hardwood floors, dramatic stone fireplace, views to Whistler and Blackcomb mountains, Hot tub.

Glaciers Reach and Sunpath
Beautifully equipped town homes with one, two, or three bedrooms. All within an easy walk of the lift base, shops and restaurants. Private hot tubs available in most two and three bedroom town homes.

Norman
Four bedrooms, three bathrooms, Hardwood and stone floors, views over Wedge and Armchair mountains, hot tub in secluded garden.
Nordic
Located south of the village close to Creekside (five minutes taxi ride to lifts) four bedrooms, two bathrooms, beautifully furnished and very well equipped.

Activities:

Winter: Whistler truly a four season venue. Sports, entertainment and activities are unlimited. You probably know Whistler as the number one ski resort in North America. With over 7,000 skiable acres on Whistler and Blackcomb mountains, and the cross country trails, (one of which passes each of our properties on Nicklaus North), Whistler's winter charms are obvious. The space, the lack of lift queues, the children's ski park, the designated snowboard areas with half pipes, rails and jumps, the heli-skiing for the powder hounds, along with the charm of the Canadians, makes Whistler a joyful place to holiday. It is one of the few resorts where a non-skier will be as content as you after your day on the slopes. There is so much to do. You can swim, skate and use the gym at the Meadow Park Sports Centre, just a few minutes from the Village. Spend time in a class at the craft gallery, or in the Expression Ceramics Studio where you can design and paint your own masterpiece. Visit the museum and talk with the knowledgeable curator, play tennis or snowshoe through the mountains with the most interesting and proficient guides. You need not ski. If you can walk you can snowshoe. There are hundreds of shops. Whether you just want to browse or if you have a credit card burning a hole in your pocket, there is something for you. Summer: Whistler may be best known as a ski resort, but its holiday origins are tied to the string of jewel like lakes scattered through the valley. The mountains turn rivers into exciting places where you can take part in all types of water sports, or you may rather just sit on the beach and watch others sailing, canoeing or water skiing. Summer in Whistler is not for the faint hearted, you will need to make decisions. Here we highlight some of the activities, comprehensive but by no means exhaustive. If you have something special you would like to do, please ask us when you book and we will assist you to custom build your holiday. Living in Whistler, we have discovered some of the more surprising aspects, you can be as challenged as you wish, or as comfortable and relaxed as possible. Even your journey to and from Whistler can be an adventure. You can arrive by floatplane on to Green Lake and cross the road to Nicklaus, Palmer and Norman. You may choose to arrive by helicopter, by steam train travelling between Howe Sound and the towering mountains, or by boat to Squamish where we will collect you. You might prefer to rent a car and drive yourselves along the Sea to Sky highway, with the most breathtaking scenery anywhere in the world. Tennis The tennis club welcomes visitors and has training schools and lessons for children. Summer Skiing You can usually ski on the glacier until the early part of August, this is of course weather dependant. Cycling You can hire bikes to ride up and down the mountain paths. If 'up' doesn't appeal, the chair lifts are adapted to take the bike with you to the mountain top, allowing you to cycle down through the meadows. There are hundreds of cycle paths in and around the whole area, with organised trips lasting from a few hours to a few days; or just set off on your own and explore. Touring When touring around the area there are three spectacular waterfalls the Shannon, Nairn and Brandywine. They have been carved by glaciers, scalded by lava and split by earthquakes. All are within easy walking distance of Highway 99 and all offer delightful settings for picnics. Hiking Whistler and the whole valley is criss-crossed with hiking trails. You can make your own plans, from a few hours on flat ground, to several days in the Garibaldi National park, or join an escorted party. The choice is yours. Take the lift just to look at the magnificent views and wander along through the meadows with their wild flowers. For that extra spark of excitement you could paraglide down. Swim, Skate and Keep fit The leisure centre is a short walk, with its pools, gymnasium, sauna, steam room and ice rink. Horse riding You can ride in Whistler or at the Adventure Ranch in the beautiful Pemberton valley. A shuttle bus is available from Whistler. Motor Cycle Tours Whistler is a great place from which to explore the interior of British Columbia. Tours are available from a couple of days, to a week on the road. Your overnight accommodation is booked and your luggage taken by van to each stop, leaving you unencumbered and free to ride in convoy or alone. The motor cycles are the latest models chosen for their performance and handling. A motor cycle licence is mandatory. Fishing Revered as a fly fishing fantasyland in the fifties, Whistler was known as Alta Lake Fishing Resort - a place for the rich and famous to relax and enjoy some of the best scenery and trout fishing in Canada. Today, Whistler is still an anglers paradise. July and August offer excellent opportunity for trout and dolly vardens. Around the beginning of August the first salmon enter the six local rivers on their spawning runs and eagerly take flies and lures. Heli fishing enables you to enjoy your sport in remote and dramatic environments. Whitewater rafting A number of companies throughout the valley cater for river rafting at all levels. The Green River provides a great introduction to the sport. The Birkenhead River at the base of Mount Currie provides classic rapids that offer more of a thrill. While the powerful Elaho and Squamish rivers are day long trips, with the highlights being the ice-blue glaciers and cascading waterfalls. All rafting companies in BC are government registered and meet strict safety standards. Jet Boating These are 12 passenger, propellerless aluminium crafts that can get you into spots normally frequented by only moose and deer. There are several trips. The Lillooet River tour passes through the remote home of the In-shuck Nation, past ancient petroglyphs and fishing camps. Osprey, seals and spawning salmon may be seen along the way. Canoeing and Kayaking One of the most delightful experiences in Whistler is paddling your own canoe down the River of Golden Dreams. The tour starts at Lakeside park, crosses Alta Lake and heads down river . It takes a couple of sharp bends, then meanders through the wetlands of Meadow Park before flowing into Green Lake. On the way you may encounter ducks, beaver or even a black bear. Here you leave your canoe, cross the road and are back home in time for tea. Sailing If you have never tried sailing before, Alta Lake offers a gentle experience. Sailing tours are offered daily. Races are held at 3pm every Sunday. You can take lessons in all types of water sports. Just decide what you would like to do, we will send you details and organise it for you. We will be delighted to help. The village offers many other activities, climbing walls, learning to swing on a trapeze, rollerblading in the skate park or painting a picture (maybe your first) on the mountain, under the expert tuition of local artists. The local museum will arrange walks and talks about the history and wildlife of Whistler. Music is a big part of life in Whistler, visiting soloists and groups can be heard in clubs, bars and in the streets all around the village. There are jazz and blues concerts throughout the summer and a magical orchestral season of concerts in the mountain pastures. There is even a cinema showing the latest movies. Golf: Nicklaus North Golf Course in an exquisite setting on the shores of the glacier fed Green Lake. This course, which was the site of the 1997 Skins game, offers a full practice and teaching facility. Furry Creek Golf and Country Club. Without question one of the most spectacular courses in the world. Sculpted by Robert Muir Graves from the mountainside and shoreline, the layout is truly Sea to Sky golf. Chateau Whistler Golf Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. Creeks, ponds and granite rock faces are a testimony to the fact that this stunning course closely follows the surrounding area's natural terrain. Big Sky Golf and Country Club, designed by Bob Cupp, is set at the foot of dramatic Mount Currie. Big Sky has one of the most comprehensive golf schools anywhere in North America.. Big Sky welcomes families, you can participate together on the two hole practice circuit. Whistler Golf Club is Arnold Palmer designed. The club boasts an impressive layout featuring nine lakes, two winding creeks, rolling greens and breathtaking views. Other excellent courses in the area include Pemberton Valley and Squamish Valley Golf and Country Club. We have pre-arranged tee off times at each of the courses and can book other times if they are inconvenient. Quality equipment can be hired and lessons are available for all standards of golfers.
