Alpine Springs Bed & Breakfast is nestled in the mountain resort of Whistler, British Columbia, Canada. Your host is James Sweeney, whose years of experience in the hospitality industry with Four Seasons Hotels cover Europe and North America. James will ensure that your vacation is seamlessly planned, from booking your room, to arranging your journey, to organizing daily activities and making your restaurant reservations.

Start the day with a nourishing breakfast before taking to the slopes. After a long day on the mountain ease those aching muscles in the hot tub, situated on the rear deck, and then relax in front of the cozy fireplace.

The spacious sitting room/dining room is an ideal place to relax in the evening, and bring some take-out home. You can eat from the granite-covered kitchen island, or have a meal in front of the satellite TV.

All guest rooms are tastefully decorated, each with its own en-suite bathroom, to give you all the comforts of home. Your stay at Alpine Springs will be an unforgettable vacation experience.

The Rooms:

In keeping with my English roots, we decided to stay with this theme in naming the rooms. Uther Pendragon, according to legend, is the father of King Arthur, and the ruins of Pendragon Castle, where he was reputed to have died, was one of my childhood playgrounds. The other rooms were named after lakes in the Lake District, an area in Northern England that I spent the majority of my years.

Pendragon Suite

This beautiful and most spacious suite has a full deck that spans the width of the house, benefiting from the afternoon sun, with views up towards Rainbow Mountain. The large bedroom has a Sealy Posturepedic queen sized bed, ensuring a sumptuous night. The private bathroom has a dressing area with double vanity unit leading to your own, private jacuzzi tub, plus a walk-in shower. Pendragon Suite is a must for those special celebrations.

Ullswater

Ullswater is a pretty, queen-sized room with a view of the pine forest at the rear of Alpine Springs. It has an en-suite bath/shower, a built-in vanity unit and pine wardrobe. This is one of the newly renovated rooms for the summer of 2001.

Borrowdale

This attractive room with its matching drapes and bedcovers, Borrowdale was renovated in the summer of 2001 to create a queen-sized room with a spacious en-suite bathroom, with walk in shower, and double vanity unit.

Thirlmere

This large twin-bedded room with vaulted ceiling and a large closet, has views towards Rainbow Mountain and Mount Sproat. An en-suite bathroom was added this summer.

Activities:

Alpine Springs is minutes away from ski lifts, Lost Lake Park, cross-country trails and the village. It is situated on the edge of Meadow Park, which offers numerous venues for outdoor activities as well as spectacular vistas of the River of Golden Dreams and both Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. Only steps away is a state-of- the-art recreational center - which offers an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub, fitness center, ice skating and squash courts.
