Revelstoke KOA Campground - Revelstoke, British Co Description: Come and stay at Revelstoke's finest campground. The Revelstoke KOA is nestled in a grassy, treed meadow with spectacular views of snow covered mountains and glaciers. This quiet, secure campground is family oriented, featuring a heated pool (June through August), cabins, teepees, walking trails, horses, playground and almost 200 RV and tenting sites.Additional Information: Camping at the Revelstoke KOA offers you beautiful, treed and grassy sites with a wide range of amenities, including a large heated pool. Here is a bird's-eye view of the lower meadow of our campground. The campground is family oriented, and open from May 1st to October 1st. There is a duck pond behind the main building. Kids and adults alike love feeding these friendly feathered friends. The campground is well maintained, including many walking paths, flower beds, two playgrounds and over 40 species of trees. We have a multi-function gazebo available as a group-common room. Set among a wide variety of flowers, in the morning it functions as a breakfast area, a recreation room during the day and as a meeting place in the evenings. Our RV sites are all lush & grassy. Most of the sites have full hook-ups (up to 50 Amp Service), and all of them are pull through. Why is our grass so dense and green? Mowing, mowing, mowing... Beautiful Mount Begbie towers over our quiet and peaceful lower meadow. The campground is located in an ideal location - only 3 km from downtown, but sheltered from the noise of the city and highway. If you are looking for comfort and convenience, our cabins can't be beat. The warm, rustic interior of these new cabins offers an experience to remember. The big advantage is that you are in the natural wooded setting just like a tent, but its more comfortable and waterproof. We have 4 cabins available, all are one room units. New for 2002 A beautiful, furnished 2 storey log Chalet! Perfect for families, enjoy the luxury and convenience of this deluxe accommodation. Includes 2 queen beds, full kitchen, washroom, living room, bedroom(upstairs), covered porch and a well shaded, grassy yard. Amenities: The Revelstoke KOA has many amenities available to make your stay more enjoyable. Our 16x8 meter pool (heated June 1 to Aug 31) is a big hit with everyone. The refreshing 80°F (26°C) water is perfect for a morning or evening dip... These are 'Miss Dee' and 'Freedom', our wonderful American Saddle Bred horses. Riding available on special request. For experienced riders only. The multi-functional Gazebo is ideal for a group get together or recreation. It also serves as a breakfast area in the mornings and a meeting place in the evenings. Every morning a delicious pancake breakfast is available from 7:00 to 10:00 am. These fluffy home-made pancakes are a great way to start your morning! Be sure to try them - you will love them for sure... The campground has two playgrounds - one near the west washroom and one close to the Gazebo. At the playground you'll find: 2 Swings 2 Slides Tether Ball Merry-Go-Round Table Tennis Table Soccer Basketball We have six community fire-pits spread throughout the campground. We have as much firewood as you need. These fire-pits are great places to socialize with others staying here. On request, private fire-rings are available for your own campsite. Are you interested in rock climbing? Yes? Then please inquire at the campground store. We have experienced, well trained teachers for rock climbing. They will practice with you whether you are a beginner or an experienced climber. |
