"When you leave the Highway, you come into another world!" declare both, Cornelia and René Hueppi, who opened their Mulvehill Creek Wilderness Retreat three years ago - as a Bed & Breakfast for up to eighteen guests. And you get just that feeling when you turn onto the steep one mile driveway leading to this unique place. Suddenly the forest embraces you, the wind calms down, the "go all the time" of the highway is far behind you while you dive into a serene, calming atmosphere.
You pass several murmuring rivulets, unexpectedly the forest opens to Loon Bay and you overlook the north side of the peninsula. The Bay is famous for fly-fishing as the fish hides in the huge cedar stumps left after the flooding of the lake. An arrow leads you to the Bald Eagle Spit where the Mulvehill Creek meets the Upper Arrow Lake and you see the big birds fishing.
Activities: billiards, darts, all summer and winter sports on property or nearby (canoeing, rafting, horseback riding, fishing, hiking, cross country, showshoeing, toboggan run); wildlife and birdwatching, guided boat and car tours; 3/7 day adventure packages;
