Fishing
Whether you enjoy fly fishing or lure fishing, the cold mountain lakes, streams and rivers offer a challenge for anyone. Check with Radium Hot Springs and Kootenay National Park Information Centres for locations and permit information.
Golf
Radium Hot Springs is a golfers paradise! With two championship golf courses located in town and a dozen within a 30 minute drive. If you want even more selection, there are five other courses to choose from only 1 to 1-1/2 hours away.
Hiking and Backpacking
Wetland to alpine trails are available in Kootenay National Park, Bugaboo Provincial Park and numerous BC Forest recreation areas. Trip planning information, permits and weather reports are available at Radium Hot Springs - Kootenay National Park Information Centre.

Radium Hot Springs is a trophy hunters dream with abundant Elk, Deer, Bear, Big Horn Sheep, Moose, Mountain Lion, Mountain Goats, Water Fowl - you name it, we have it!
Hang-gliding and Paragliding
Launch yourself from the peak of Mount Swansea and soar over the majestic Columbia Valley. A birds eye view that would make an eagle jealous.
Mountain National Parks
Visit nearby Stanley Glacier in Kootenay National Park or drive the Columbia Icefields Parkway to view glaciers. Experience hiking and wildlife viewing on the numerous trails and lookouts of British Columbia's natural wilderness. For the more experienced hiker look into our extraordinary backcountry trails and camp sites.

Radium Hot Springs has an excellent playground and picnic area with adjacent ballpark in the centre of town. Tennis court, basketball hoops, big fire pits, slides, swings and lots of open space to throw a frisbee or fly a kite.

Enjoy the hot mountain sun on Kinsmen Beach or James Chabot Provincial Park Beach on the shores of nearby Lake Windermere.
Rock and Ice Climbing
For the more adventurous, there are many climbing opportunities in Kootenay National Park, Bugaboo Provincial Park and the Purcell or Rocky Mountain ranges.
