Tara Shanti Lodge offers plenty of room for you to get together or find privacy. The common areas include, the fireside café - a place of physical nourishment, the library - for nourishment of the mind, the 800 square foot living room with a gothic-sized fireplace and several comfortable sofas and chairs arranged in three groupings for relaxation and discussion, the bright, airy dining room - for exquisite dinners, the 1200 square foot deck with views of the lake and the glacier, and the luxurious hot tub.

The six guest rooms are modern and newly renovated each with their own bathroom and unique style. Some of the rooms have a wonderful view of the lake and the Kokanee Glacier, while the others overlook the peaceful gardens and forest.

In your room, you will find a thick, cozy fleece robe and slippers to use during your stay. The bathrooms feature natural, French milled soap and all natural shampoo and conditioner. All of this, plus fresh air and peaceful surroundings too.

Tara Shanti offers a luxurious hot tub which is nestled into the deck and has a wonderful view of the lake and the Kokanee Glacier. It is a great place to relax after your meetings, or a "hard day" on the golf course, or to soak your muscles after hiking or snowmobiling.

The area surrounding Tara Shanti offers a full range of activities to suit your interests and schedule. Activities include numerous water sports such as sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, boating, fishing and swimming. For those that enjoy nature walks, or hiking, we can provide you with information on the many hiking trails in the area and suggestions from the most rugged terrain to a leisurely stroll along the lake's edge. Or come and join us in the winter and enjoy some of the world's best snowmobiling and downhill or cross-country skiing. Fishing during the winter months is claimed to be the best time for catching several varieties of fish including the Gerrard strain of Rainbow Trout.
