Enjoy a day of swimming on our private beach. Paddle the sparkling waters by canoe or read your favourite book relaxing on the sand. Breathe in the rich natural scents and breathtaking scenery and experience the meaning of life. Then, take a drive. Discover the numerous artisans, galleries and unique shops along the winding lakeshore road. Play a round of golf at a championship course or cross Kootenay Lake on the longest free ferry ride in the world. Explore the incredible wildlife while hiking the world renowned Kokanee Glacier or bird watching at the impressive Creston Valley Wildlife sanctuary. Return to the lodge for an intimate dinner surrounded by log timbers and European antiques. See the local wildlife under a dazzling night sky. Enjoy a cocktail in our cozy bar then retire to a spacious king size bed to dream of the unlimited possibilities for tomorrow. Bring the kids and get away. Enjoy a room with private bunk beds or check out our suite. We are certainly animal lovers and you can visit the dogs, cats, ponies, donkeys, sheep, ducks, geese and the pet goat. Rent a canoe or a kayak. Accommodations: Main floor Room 1 Enjoy this 2 bedroom family unit fully wheelchair accessible containing a king-size bed in one bedroom and a bunk bed with two twin-size extra-long mattresses (1x2 meters) in the second bedroom. Take in the inspirational lake view from a private French balcony. This room contains an ensuite bathroom including roomy shower with seat, as well as fridge and coffeemaker. We are pleased to include housekeeping and a hot breakfast for for 4 guests. Spectacular self-contained suite * Minimum rental 2 nights The open studio design of the main room with its cedar ceiling and numerous windows and French doors creates a perfect setting for creative thought or cherished interactions. This 800 square foot suite is arranged for 4 guests but extra mattresses are available. It contains a king-size bed, DVD player (DVDs are available at the local store), and ensuite bathroom with a roomy wheelchair accessible shower. Enjoy the open living room area, the six-seated round dining table, and the fully equipped kitchen boasting a full size fridge. The private bedroom includes another king-size bed. Providing all the privacy of your own residence, this suite offers an exclusive entrance, separate parking, and two furnished decks. Out any of the 3 French doors or numerous windows you can drink in the lake view, listen to the laughing brook, or view the mountain ranges. This suite is fully wheelchair accessible. The suite excludes housekeeping and breakfast. Upstairs Room 3 and Room 4 Experience the romance and nostalgia of history expressed in the beautiful antique furnishings and hand carved or hand painted armoires. Each of these rooms contain a king-size bed, DVD player (DVDs can be rented at the local store), coffee maker, ensuite bathrooms with bathtub/shower combinations, and inspirational lake views. We are pleased to include housekeeping and a hot breakfast for 2 guests. Room 5: View the southern vista of the lodge and listen to the laughter of our year-round Holiday Creek. This room contains a king-size bed, coffee maker, and ensuite bathroom with shower. We are pleased to include housekeeping and a hot breakfast for 2 guests. Room 6: View the impressive Purcell mountain range from the east balcony. This room contains a king-size bed, coffee maker, and ensuite bathroom with a bathtub/ shower combination. We are pleased to include housekeeping and a hot breakfast for 2 guests. For your convenience, a fridge is located in the hallway. The Cabin: Log post & beam cabin with a very nice lake view This log post & beam cabin has about 300 sft living area - plus loft and it is arranged for 2 guests but extra persons can sleep on the loft. It is situated directly by the entrance into the property, between the lodge and the beach. Out of the large picture window you can drink in the lake view. The cabin features a very comfortable queen-size bed, a loft with additional foamies, pillows and comforters, which is accessible via a ladder only, and a bathroom with a 4.5ft antique clawfoot bathtub (40 gal hot water tank ! ). The kitchen is equipped with dishes and cutlery for about 20 persons, two double sinks, a 4 burner range with large oven and a smaller fridge. The cabin with it's kitchen can also be rented for catering to larger groups ! The cabin is equipped with linens and towels for 2 persons. No SAT-TV, no phone. Beach and RV Park: Park your camper, RV or trailer at one of our 15 fully serviced shoreline sites and spend the rest of the summer enjoying yourself. No more need to make reservations, just come and enjoy the beach, fishing or boating with the family. Services include water, sewer and 30 amp power. The landscaping has been designed to maximize beach usage while protecting campers. The 12 sites in the first row are directly above the high water mark providing a stunning view of Kootenay Lake. The lake does not freeze over making it possible for year round fishing. Boats are welcome to be stored on the upper property and a public boat launch is available 2 km (1mile) south. Amenities: Unwind in our intimate bar enjoying favourite cocktails and friendly conversation.Restaurant FUN! Discover the 7.5-acre property with its beautiful gardens, a laughing brook named Holiday Creek. Rent one of our canoes or kayaks. Charter fishing trips can be arranged. Just ask! Splash or bask in 244 feet of beautiful private pebble beach gently sloping into the water. It is ideal for families. *Waiver required for some activities.
