Kimberley Alpine Ski Resort Description: Our unit is situated on Kimberley Alpine Ski Resort serving as a " true " Ski-in / out unit and is also walking distance to the fabulous Trickle Creek Golf Resort. Kimberley offers day and night skiing for both downhill and cross country skiers. This unit doubles as a great Golf get-a-way for a summer vacation retreat.
Additional Information: There are 7 Golf Courses within 30 minutes, three of which are two - full length 18 hole courses, and one - 27 hole course. Three of these golf courses are within ten minutes of this unit.
Activities: Year round place to Stay and Play! Other on-hill activities include mountain biking decent on ski hill runs, cross country Nordic track, snow mobiling, snow shoeing and much more. Take advantage of the night club / pub entertainment. There is a Nature Park / Nordic track with many marked hiking / cross-country trails just steps out the back door. The surrounding area offers hunting, river-rafting, kayaking, water skiing, boating, swimming, sunbathing beach, ATV riding, fishing, and horse back riding. There are an abundance of fresh water streams, rivers and lakes for the outdoor experience. The Ram River and the Lucier River Hotsprings are natural and undeveloped. These are located within 40 minutes of Kimberley. Wasa lake with all the summer water activities has 2 public beaches and is a 25 min. drive.
Fernie Ski Resort located in Fernie, B.C. is a one hour drive from Kimberley and also offers downhill and cross country skiing. Here you will find 4 additional golf courses.
Panorama Ski Mountain Village is located near Radium, B.C. and is a 90 minute drive from Kimberley.
This unit is conveniently located only 3 kms./ 2 miles from downtown Kimberley and its world famous Bavarian style Platzl shopping area. July hosts the International Accordion Festival which bring in 10,000 visitors. In May 2003 the Platz underwent a million dollar renovation. Visit the Platzl to shop and eat at the variety of restaurants that are available.
