Big White Chalet Rentals - The Krystalline Chalet Description: Make your Big White holiday a guaranteed success with a stay in our luxury Chalet. The Krystalline Chalet is a post and beam four plex designed and built to the highest standards.Additional Information: Developer and owner Kevin Taylor went to great lengths to create a warm open atmosphere, boasting extensive use of natural wood and imported slate. This Big White Chalet has just been completed this year, be one of the first to enjoy these all new facilities. Comfortably accommodates 8 to 10 Adults and their children to a total of 14. The 1770 square foot Krystalline Chalet features 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and a huge loft with divider, allowing for a fourth sleeping area with a queen size hide-away. The 300 square foot covered decks come complete with a hot-tub and one of the best views on Big White Mountain. The bright gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with cookware and utensils. Enjoy a turkey dinner in front of an unrestricted view of the beautiful Monashee Mountains. Wake up to those magnificent Monashee Mountains, the sunrise is breath taking. The Krystalline Chalet has been designed with a maximum window area, allowing in tons of natural light and providing that incredible view that could only be Big White. Full laundry facilities on the main floor make quick work of drying the day's outerwear and keeping your hot-tub gear fresh. Access to the mountain is virtually Ski-In & Ski-Out; Snow Pines Estates is adjacent to two runs on beautiful Big White Mountain. Snow Pines Estates is located outside the main village. In the last 2 years, Big White Ski Resort has invested over 50 million dollars in state of the art grooming equipment and an incredible expansion in resort facilities. The highlights of this expenditure include a Leitner eight passenger Gondola, the first of its kind in North America. The gondola connects the village to Happy Valley Adventure Park, capable of moving 3000 people per hour with skis and snowboards in the winter and golf clubs and bicycles in the summer. Happy Valley Adventure Park, the largest of its kind in Western Canada, is home to the Happy Valley Golf Academy, and $29.1 million of resort accommodation including townhouses, condominium-hotels, and chalets. "We are pleased to make this announcement during the most successful season in the history of Big White Ski Resort." commented Vice President, Michael J. Ballingall at the opening "We wanted to add these features this summer so guests could continue to experience different activities, after all, we are in the resort business and that's all about showing people a good time." Big White Ski Resort has experienced a record number of guests purchasing mountain resort real estate. Big White Ski Resort Ltd announced developers have already secured land for additional buildings valued at $23.4 million for projects to be constructed in the summer of 2001 for completion prior to the ski season.
A new tube park, the largest in Western Canada has been constructed for year 2000, with three chutes over 900 feet long and two lifts to the top. The lifts at Happy Valley Tube Park have an uphill capacity of 600 people per hour and the area is designed to be expandable.
A large pond for ice skating with romantic skating paths into the surrounding forested area have also been created for this new millennium. The ice surface will be maintained by a Zamboni ice machine ensuring ice quality.
