The Crossing Resort: At the Saskatchewan River Cro Description:

The Crossing Resort is a family owned and operated resort located at the Saskatchewan River Crossing, in the heart of the Icefields Parkway and the Canadian Rockies.

Additional Information:

Your hosts at The Crossing Resort are the three Fikowski brothers. Originally purchased by their father in 1975, the three brothers have managed The Crossing Resort since that time, and are now the sole owners, along with their mother. The brothers also own and manage the newly opened Lizard Creek Lodge.

At The Crossing Resort, we have something for everyone. Our mountain setting, at the Saskatchewan River Crossing in the Icefield Parkway, will be one you will always enjoy. We also offer many services and amenities, so rest assured that your stay here at the Saskatchewan River Crossing will be a comfortable one.

-The Crossing has 66 motel units all of which offer magnificent mountain views and the best value in the park.
-Most of our rooms contain two double beds, a fully appointed private bathroom, separate vanity, satellite TV and a telephone.
-Our Family Rooms contain a double bed, a single bed and a double hide-a-bed sofa to accommodate a maximum of five people.
-Each room also has it's own deck with bench seating where our guests can relax and enjoy the mountain views.
-Guests of The Crossing also enjoy exclusive use of our relaxing spa.
-All our rooms offer spectacular mountain views. Our west facing rooms feature a prominent view of Mount Murchison and Mount Sarbach. Both mountains were named after the first men to reach the respective summits. Our east facing rooms face Mount Wilson, named for one of the first explorers of this northern part of Banff National Park.

Amenities:

The Crossing has services for all travellers passing along Highway # 93. Whether you are stopping for coffee or for a longer stay, you can take advantage of our large gift shop and our service station.
If you have any questions about the area or need assistance in any way, our front desk staff at the motel office will be pleased to help you.

The Gift Shop

The Crossing Gift Shop offers 2800 sq. ft. of great buys featuring Canadian handicrafts such as:

Haida jewelry and designs.
Jade, Rhondonite and Hematite items.
Copper designs.
Maple Syrup.
Moccassins.
T-Shirts, Sweatshirts and Jackets.
Brama leather products.

We have hand painted cards and pictures by local artist Alice Saltiel.

The Crossing carries the largest selection of souvenir books, postcards, videos, and guide books. These items are available in English, French, German, Japanese and we carry a video of the Rockies in Korean.

Groceries such as bread, milk, cheese, ice and a selection of dry goods are available. For the campers we also carry some camping supplies and briquettes. We have a large selection of confectionery items, soft drinks and ice cream.

NB: Liquor off-sales are available in our Crossing Pub.

The Crossing Spa
The Crossing offers a spa facility for overnight guests. Spa services include a hot tub, sauna, weight room and coin laundry.

Service Station
The Crossing has a full-service gas station. All petroleum products, diesel and propane are available plus an assortment of automotive products and fluids.

Attendants man the pumps from 7am to 11pm daily. An attendant is on call during the night. The service station also has water, air and a sewage dump available for motorhomes and coaches.
