Paradise Lodge & Bungalows, Lake Louise, Alberta, Description: Located near the shores of world-famous Lake Louise in the Canadian Rocky Mountains of Banff National Park, Paradise Lodge & Bungalows is a family run business that has been owned and operated by the Pedersen family for more than 50 years. Today the facility boasts newly renovated, luxurious cabins as well as spacious, cozy suites.Additional Information: In updating the lodge facilities to contemporary standards of comfort and convenience, the operators of Paradise Lodge have not compromised any of the charm of the original facility. Log construction and natural materials are in evidence everywhere to complement the look and feel of the spectacular peaks and forests that surround the lodge. Visitors continue to enjoy the warm ambience of the historic main lodge and the riot of colours evident in the flower gardens. The verdant grounds are a pleasure to walk through and, of course, the magnificent Rockies form a breathtaking backdrop to everything.Please note that we are not open for occupancy during the winter months however our office is open for limited hours during the winter months to take reservations for the upcoming 2004 summer season. Two types of accommodation are available at Paradise Lodge & Bungalows. Individual cabins offer a cozy, elegant feel with private access. Lodge Suites are located in 2 lodge buildings, which continue the rustic log feeling for the exterior and larger one or two bedroom modern interiors. A gas barbeque area for guests to enjoy is centrally located between the cabins and a large children’s playground is conveniently located behind our coin laundry facility. Please note, all rooms are non-smoking. Paradise Lodge Suites are situated in two buildings of suites and offer dramatic views. Being larger in square footage than the cabins, the suites offer a modern airy flavor still keeping in theme with the wooded mountain setting. Three types of suites are available. Two bedroom "Saddleback" units, which sleep a maximum of four persons, are located on the ground floor with outdoor decks. A convenience area consisting of fridge, microwave and coffeemaker separates the two bedrooms. Upper floor "Fairview" one-bedroom suites are complete with kitchens and living-room with gas fireplace and cathedral ceilings for unsurpassed mountain and forest views. These units also have balconies to relax and enjoy the surrounding vistas. "Temple", the honeymoon suite, is complete with double Jacuzzi in the bedroom and a direct view of Mt. Temple, from the balcony. All suites contain fridges, hairdryers and coffeemakers with coffee. We have chosen not to put phones in any suites, and all suites are non-smoking. Paradise Bungalows, originally built in the late 1930’s, have amazed guests with their charm and cleanliness. All cabins have been completely renovated and offer a cozy, elegant mountain flavour with all the comforts of home. All cabins are complete with bed linens and towels and units with kitchens are complete with pots, pans, dishes, etc. All units without kitchens contain mini-fridges, microwaves, and coffee makers . Please note we have chosen not to put phones in any cabins, and all cabins are non-smoking. There are 4 types of cabins each named after influential historical individuals from the immediate area. Cooper and Feuz cabins have outdoor decks with beautiful panoramic views of the valley and the mountains behind the property. With our current renovations, Cooper and Peyto style cabins have received a completely new bathroom addition featuring claw footed soaker tubs and corner showers. Feuz and Wilson cabins now have enlarged bathrooms with corner showers and vaulted ceilings. Amenities: Our children’s playground has been a great asset for travelling families. Children enjoy a large slide and jungle gym area, as well as a climbing tower. The sandbox filled with toys occupies children for hours. It is also conveniently located behind our coin laundry.A central gas barbeque and picnic table is located amidst the cabins. Guests are able to enjoy a relaxing outdoor barbeque while being surrounded by the mountains and panoramic views. Activities: Friends & Links
