The Paintbox Lodge is an intimate Heritage Style Mountain Inn, the ultimate in romantic ambiance, charm, and elegance, recapturing the glory days of the early 1900’s when visitors vacationed in the Canadian Rockies in the most luxurious of rustic quarters.

Completely restored in the spring of 2002, great care was taken in providing guests with modern amenities and first-class comforts while retaining the original character of hand-crafted timbers and the warm mountain atmosphere. Here you’ll experience everything from feather beds to exceptional personal service.

Appealing to luxury loving adventurers drawn to the breathtaking grandeur of the Canadian Rocky Mountains the Inn is conveniently situated town center, in the quaint mountain community of Canmore, "gateway to the Canadian Rockies".

A haven for boutiques, galleries, eclectic restaurants, only minutes to Banff and one hour to Calgary with an International Airport.

The lodge’s eight guest rooms and premier Guest House are individually appointed. Some suites have a fireplace and a deck. All have mountain views and filled with pine and rustic red willow furniture, antiques, tartan carpets, original artwork and rich warm fabrics to complete the cozy, mountain elegance.

Lodging is uncommonly comfortable with all the comforts of today’s modern amenities, luxurious suites and personalized service.
Be pampered with a thick goose down duvet atop a lofty bed, over-sized towels, fine linens, and luxurious private bathroom with a deep soaking tub, large separate shower and elegant toiletries. Room amenities include fridge, full-size coffee and tea service area, snack bar, cable TV, phone, high speed Internet, CD player, plus many other special touches.

To complete your experience, a full breakfast is included in your room rate.

This cozy romantic corner suite is the surprise gem of the lodge. South facing with a view of the Three Sisters Mountain Range, high vaulted beamed ceiling and a luxuriously spacious en-suite.

#11 Cabin Honeymoon Suite– Deluxe Queen-bed sitting room with Fireplace

Reminiscent of a romantic mountain retreat., the warm casual elegance, a large river stone fireplace, and a canopy bed set the romantic mood of this large main floor suite. Has private doors that open to garden - 2 persons.

#33 Loft Honeymoon Suite– Deluxe Queen-bed sitting room with Fireplace

Featuring twenty feet beamed ceilings and a huge river-stone floor to ceiling fireplace. A romantic retreat with corner tub for two with a private balcony and prime mountain views – 2 persons.

#4 Wildlife Suite– 2 Bedrooms Suite with Sitting Room – 4 or 5 persons

A bright, suite perfect for couples traveling together or families. One bathroom and two bedrooms; bedroom #1- queen bed, bedroom #2- 2 twin beds. Sitting room is has option of an additional twin bed for a total of 5 persons.

#1 The Cabin Suite– 2 Bedrooms Suite with Fireplace – 4 or 5 persons

Our largest deluxe one-bath, 2 bedroom suite located on main floor with doors opening to garden. Large river-stone fireplace, one bathroom, bed-sitting room with queen bed and privacy drapes, additional bedroom has 1 queen bed and 1 twin bed

#3 Artist Loft Suite– 2 Bedrooms Suite with Fireplace – 4 persons

A deluxe one-bath suite with luxurious corner tub for two. Suite features a river stone fireplace, large balcony, lofty open beamed ceilings, conversation area within the main queen bed-sitting room. Additional bedroom features queen bed and TV.

#7 Entire Paintbox Lodge– 5 Suites with 8 Bedrooms – 18 persons maximum

Offering you an entire lodge for your private function, group retreat, family reunion, wedding or social gathering. Features private yard plus a conference and function room. Group activities, breakfasts, working lunches and catering are available. Two night stay required.

#100 Voyageur Quarters SELF CATERED – 2-5 persons

A luxurious full house for your private use. Best in Canmore with a Canada Select 41/2 Star Rating.
