Creekside Retreat Description: Located in the beautiful Bow Valley, on the eastern border of Banff National Park, this spacious condo is the perfect base from which to explore the Canadian Rocky Mountains - summer or winter.
Additional Information: Hikers can begin their adventures from the front door, and golfers can enjoy no less than six of the finest mountain golf courses in the world. When the snow arrives in December, skiers can sample any of five world-class ski resorts and miles of cross-country and backcountry ski trails just a short drive away. Sightseers and shoppers are only a few minutes from the glamorous streets of Banff Townsite. Everyone can return from the mountains to enjoy the warmth and comfort of this luxurious "home away from home."Description This two-bedroom, two-bath, 1000-square-foot gem is located on the edge of Policeman's Creek and wetland, just a five-minute walk from the heart of Canmore, Alberta. Entrance is through a courtyard that offers quiet privacy. The bright, open living room and dining area boast hardwood floors, a gas fireplace, and a deck that provides stellar views of the surrounding peaks any time of day or night. Handmade log furniture - including beautifully crafted queen-size beds outfitted with down duvets and pillows - and historical black-and-white photographs by Rocky Mountain legend Byron Harmon conjure the rustic elegance that defines perfect mountain living. An open kitchen provides all the tools for entertaining, including a microwave and dishwasher. Washer and dryer, ample storage space, and heated underground parking are also included. A hip cafÈ and Sushi-quality seafood shop on the ground floor makes stocking up or enjoying a snack quick and easy. Amenities: The town of Canmore is located in the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, just one hour from the Calgary International Airport and 15 minutes from the bright lights of Banff Townsite. Canmore itself is a quaint town that offers just the right balance of culture and quietude. It also provides easy access to a number of must-see destinations - the untrammeled serenity of Kananaskis Country to the south, the dramatic peaks and glaciers of Banff and Jasper national parks to the north, and the fecund beauty of Yoho and Kootenay national parks to the west. ( These four mountain national parks have been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.)And there is much more to do than sightsee. Hiking and mountain biking trails abound, and a number of outfitters offer rafting and kayaking trips, horseback rides and guiding services.
