We are located in the village of Deadman's Flats, which is easily accessible from the Trans-Canada Hwy (Hwy #1), and a short drive to the numerous amenities offered in the Canmore townsite.Additional Information: Deadman's Flats is surrounded by the Canadian Rocky Mountains and the recreational opportunities start from our doorstep. Skiing, golfing, and fishing are all only moments away from Big Horn Motel, making it the ideal Canadian Rocky Mountain motel for single, coupled, or group travelers. A charming 27-room property, located on the #1 Trans Canada Highway at Deadman's Flat. Enjoy stunning mountain views from every room. Please ask about our wheelchair accessible suite. This is it. Some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. There are golf courses within 25 minutes of the Big Horn Motel. Fishing is within 5 minutes out behind us at the Bow River. Licence required of course.
Other activities include hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, heli sight seeing, horse back riding, overnight hiking, overnight trail rides, river rafting, helicopter sightseeing, walking trails along the Bow River directly behind the motel and of course photography.
Here it is. The beauty and wonder of the skiing hub of Canada. To the west are the three most wonderful ski resorts of Banff National Park. Lake Louise, Sunshine Village and Mystic Ridge/Norquay. South of this location you'll find Nakiska, site of the 1988 Olympic downhill races. Another skiing gem is Fortress Mountain in the Kananaskis recreation area. All of these resorts are within 45 minutes of Big Horn Motel.
There are many other winter sports here. Enjoy snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ice fishing, dog sledding, cross country and heli skiing, horse drawn sleigh rides, ice climbing and skating. With all the beauty around us, it is a photographers paradise. |
