When approaching the entrance to this Calgary bed and breakfast you experience the calmness of the surroundings. The mature trees and landscaped gardens embrace this warm mocha coloured home. Josephine's greeting is friendly and cheery as she welcomes you into her Shangarry B&B. Entering into the spacious Living Room you immediately notice the Eastern influences in such commanding collectables as an ivory inlaid coffee table and carved sculptures of elephants. The huge Aubusson styled rug warms the fresh wooden flooring and the grand piano makes an impression.If you feel like playing a tune during your stay you are certainly welcome to do so. Josephine's collection of original paintings and limited edition prints expands on interests that range from Canadian artists like the Group of Seven and popular Albertan Canmore artist Marilyn Kinsella, to Irish and European artists. These many interesting items are in joyful competition with the beautiful expanse of windows. Overlooking the golf course, this view equally commands your attention. Shangarry Bed and Breakfast Guestrooms The bed and breakfast accommodations at Shangarry B&B in Calgary more than meets any of your expectations with its range of choices for your selection. Every room has a specially selected "Irish" book to entertain you before you lapse into a restful sleep. DUBLIN ROOM The Dublin Room affords a garden view. Its authentic,1945, parson's bed with duvet-styled willow-leaf bedspread promises a night of luxury. A kidney-shaped dressing table nestles the bed. This charming room has a full ensuite for your enjoyment. The décor speaks of Ireland with its traditional colours and marbleized wallpaper. Artful Dublin scenes grace the walls. For the final touch a little leather footstool, aged with patina, awaits a mother's soft foot.Antique, mahogany double bed. Presently a shared four piece bathroom but soon to be a full private en suite - please enquire at time of booking. MORNINGSUNRISE ROOM The Morning Sunrise Room is everything the name implies. A safari-like influence, grounded with the touch of black accent furnishings, is sensed. Opulent bedding, and oversized pillows, depict animal motifs.
