Skiing Not Your Thing...Check Out Some of These Activities in Vail Valley, Colorado

Non-skiing Activities

While Vail is known for its legendary skiing and riding, the excitement and fun run deeper than the powder. Guests of all ages will find endless activities off the slopes from Adventure Ridge to Vail's world-class spas.

Adventure RidgeTMAdventure Ridge is Vail's headquarters for non-skiing fun. This on-mountain activity center located at the top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola at Eagle's Nest caters to the young and young at heart.


  • Thrilling nighttime tours from Adventure Ridge to the bottom of the gondola.
  • Instructors provide an introduction to ski-biking technique, then lead tour groups down the mountain.
  • Clear goggles and headlamps provided.
  • Guests should wear or bring ski boots to participate. Snow skates are provided as an alternative.
  • Must be at least 12 years old and 4 feet 6 inches.
  • Must be at least an intermediate skier or snowboarder.
  • Reservations required.

Snowmobile Tours - Find Tours

  • Travel from peak to peak with a guide through alpine meadows and groomed mountain access roads.
  • See the mountain by the setting sun or by the light of the moon.
  • Must be 4 years old to be a passenger and 16 years old with a valid driver's license to drive and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on the tour.
  • Reservations required.

  • Unique, multi-lane tubing hill offers a mix of adventure.
  • Lanes vary for steep and fast runs (great for racing your opponent) while others are short and more mild for tame tubers who love the wind of thier faces.
  • Lift-served tubing hill.
  • Nearby warming hut, family viewing area and restrooms.
  • Minimum height of 36 inches required.

Laser Tag

  • Guests may play one-on-one or team-versus-team.
  • State-of-the-art laser guns and chest elements to indicate and monitor when someone has been hit.
  • Laser sets are electronically read by a computer to determine winner.
  • Starts each day at dusk.
  • Send the kids off to play while mom and dad have a drink at Blue Moon Restaurant across the way.

Kids' Snowmobiling

  • Track offers kids a fun way to experience snowmobiling on their own.
  • Miniature snowmobiles specially designed for kids 6-12 years old. Maximum weight is 110 pounds.

Other Activities

  • Snow skate and snowshoe rentals.
  • Ice skating and skate rentals.
  • While at Adventure Ridge, guests can walk over to Eagle's Nest for dinner, drinks and nighttime entertainment. And, while checking in at the Adventure Ridge Pavilion, visit Bailey's Place for a specialty coffee drink.

To Get There: Board the Eagle Bahn Gondola located in LionsHead for a ride to Adventure Ridge.

Spas provide an added experience to guests' winter vacations in the Vail Valley. Unique, full-service spas have become vacation destinations.   • The spa will includes 14 treatment rooms featuring indigenous massage, body, facial and hydrotherapy treatments, specialty foot baths, personalized bath experiences and a couples spa suite. In addition, there arefive manicure/pedicure stations featuring the Solace "Footspa."
  • For additional relaxation, Aria features the sanctuary, with a two-sided, stone fireplace and wood-vaulted ceilings, oversized chairs and chaise lounges.
