Guests get more than just a room at Keystone; they also get more than a dozen free activities.
- When guests book a room at Keystone, they receive a free Adventure Passport for every person in their room, giving them more than $300 worth of activities and classes.
- Activities and class sizes are limited. Not all Passport programs are available on a daily basis and activities may be dependent on the weather. Reservations are recommended.

Cross-Country Skiing or Snowshoeing
Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are two of the nation's fastest-growing winter sports. Keystone Resort's Cross Country Center provides Nordic skiers with access to more than 16K of groomed trails and more than 50K of ungroomed terrain in the White River National Forest. Snowshoers can enjoy more than 25K of groomed trails. Nordic and telemark lessons, ski and snowshoe rentals and programs for all ages and abilities are available at the Cross Country Center located at the River Course on the west side of the resort.
A guided snowshoe trek through the woods teaches guests about the history and environment that make up Keystone. Snowshoe tours meet at the Cross Country Center on the west side of the resort every day.
Children and adults enjoy listening to Redtail the Mountain Man tell true tales about the Wild West with his sled dogs in River Run and Keystone Village.
After a day on the slopes, shopping or ice skating, guests can retreat to Keystone's Fitness Center in Keystone Lodge for pampering or to burn some calories. The center features a weight room with top-of-the-line circuit weight machines, free weights and cardiovascular equipment, as well as body treatments, a sauna, a steam room, an outdoor heated swimming pool and two hot tubs.
Full Moon Tours
Celebrate the full moon at the top of the world with a rigorous trek or on an easier valley trail from the Cross Country Center. Every month Keystone offers two full moon tours each month for different abilities.
Horse-Drawn Sleigh Rides
For a bird's-eye view of Keystone and the surrounding forests, valleys and mountains, guests can take a scenic ride on the River Run Gondola or lift. The Gondola top out at the summit of Keystone Mountain. Guests can then take the Outpost Gondola to the top of North Peak where they can dine at the award-winning Alpenglow Stube and Der Fondue Chessel.
Take a trip back into time through forested terrain and wide-open valleys to a historic homestead. It's a perfect way to explore Keystone. Reservations are required. Sleigh rides are free for resort guests and Mountain Passport holders. Dinner Sleigh Rides offer western-style cuisine and cowboy entertainers. Reservations are required for dinner sleigh rides.
Keystone boasts the largest Zamboni-maintained outdoor ice skating lake in North America. The 5-acre rink located in Keystone Village is open daily from late-November to early-March, weather permitting. Skate sharpening, rentals, children's sleds and lessons are available. Hockey and figure skating clinics are also offered.
At "Glow Bug Skate Night" kids receive free glow sticks and necklaces.
Kids' Night Out - FREE Babysitting
While children play games, have snacks, make crafts and watch movies for free, adults can enjoy night out at one of Keystone's restaurants. Reservations are required for this free Mountain Passport activity.
Keystone offers guests the opportunity to experience ski racing on a NASTAR course, located at the top of the Peru lift on Keystone Mountain. This activity is free with the Mountain Passport.
Keystone features one of the largest night skiing operations in North America with 235 acres of terrain on 17 trails. During the peak season, skiers and snowboarders have 11 ½ hours on the slopes. The resort also boasts the only lighted pipes and parks in the state.
Discover old, abandoned mining sites and breathtaking views of the Continental Divide on guided backcountry tours available for all abilities.
- Youth under 16 years of age must ride with an adult.
- Snowmobile suits and boots are provided and reservations are required.
Adults and children view the stars through a telescope and learn more about constellations and lunar events with The Denver Museum of Nature and Science in River Run. This weekly event is free.
With two indoor courts, tennis players can practice all winter long at Keystone. The Keystone Tennis Center, located on Keystone Road across from the Keystone Lodge, offers a fully equipped pro shop and equipment rental. A special tennis and dinner program is held every Friday night. Private lessons and other clinics also are available.
The Discovery Tubing Hill is a convenient and fun place for families to spend the evening tubing. The hill is located at the Mountain House Base Area and is lighted. It is open every evening during the winter season.
There's a party at Keystone every week during the regular winter season. Guests are welcome to join in the festivities and learn more about the resort once a week in Keystone Village and in River Run. Free music and refreshments are provided.
Guests over 21 sample local, regional and international wines while mingling with other resort guests. Wine tasting is free with the Mountain Passport.
Winter Fly-Fishing Trips
Keystone offers guided fly-fishing trips all year long. Minimum age is 10 and reservations are required for both half- and full-day trips. Rods, reels, flies, waders and lunch are provided.
Women's Nordic Fridays
Taught by women for women, this unique program combines social activities with a cross-country ski lesson in the morning and a snowshoe trek in the afternoon.
It's easy to relax after a long day of exploring with a yoga class. Keystone offers an after-sports yoga class throughout the season. The class is free with a Mountain Passport.
