“Our wedding business has increased each year,” says Resort Director of Food and Beverage Julie Wilson. “Yet we still treat each wedding with intimate attention. Our staff meets with each bride and groom many times to make sure things are just the way they want them. We have three beautiful lodges to choose from as locations: Empire Canyon Lodge, Snow Park Lodge and Silver Lake Lodge. Their stone, timber and glass mountain designs, all with outside decks, make memorable wedding, reception or engagement party locations. And if the weather isn't perfect for outside activity, brides and grooms can relax knowing they have spacious lodge interiors at hand. Our award-winning cuisine options are highly diverse and the Deer Valley Bakery has become renowned for its made-from-scratch wedding cakes.

Our bakers create everything from an elegant fondant style decorated with fresh wildflowers, to the popular “whimsy” cakes. We pride ourselves on the fact that the cakes not only look beautiful, but are excellent tasting too. We take cake orders for both on- and off-site weddings.”

Service is the frosting on the cake, as it were, with Deer Valley Resort's Central Reservations, owned and operated by the Resort, here to help your wedding attendees with all their travel arrangements. “Wedding parties can call one number and have us handle all the details,” says Resort Director of Sales Dirk Beal, “from making airline reservations, to booking blocks of rooms at various hotels or condominiums, to arranging transportation. Wedding guests can call one number and book any type of lodging from the economical Holiday Inn Express hotel to the luxurious Stein Eriksen Lodge located mid-mountain at Deer Valley. Deer Valley Resort wedding parties qualify for a ten percent discount on lodging for wedding guests at many of our properties when booked through Central Reservations.”

Deer Valley has a new lodging package this year, created with brides and grooms specifically in mind. The Special Occasion Package ($285) includes one night's lodging in a king size canopy suite at the elegant Goldener Hirsch Inn, mid-mountain at Deer Valley. The package includes a gourmet three-course dinner in the hotel restaurant, European style breakfast, chilled champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries in the suite.

Deer Valley Resort is capable of hosting weddings for 40 to 450, as well as banquets, events, group meetings, parties and family reunions for groups of 20 to 2,000.
