Brighton, UT—This summer, Brighton Resort is replacing the classic 1955 Majestic double-chair lift with a Doppelmayr CTEC fixed-grip quad to be completed by the opening of the 2004/2005 season.

This change will offer Brighton’s customers quicker, more comfortable access to the heart of the resort and Utah’s most popular terrain park. The new lift will be named after its predecessor, and be called the “Majestic Quad.” Installed in 1955, Majestic was the first double-chair lift in the intermountain region. The classic lift is being relocated this summer to Big Sky Resort, Montana.

Brighton’s lifts now include, four quads, one triple, and two double chairs accessing 66 runs on three mountains. For more adventurous skiers and snowboarders, Brighton’s lifts also provide access to some of the best back-country terrain in Utah.

In addition to the new quad, Brighton has seen a number of improvements over the past ten years, including; expanded night terrain, over 200 acres of snowmaking, a new base lodge facility, a remodeled ski and snowboard school and the addition of state-of-the-art grooming equipment. In 2000, another phase of Brighton’s development began with the replacement of the Snake Creek triple chair with a high-speed detachable quad. Brighton is continually advancing and improving to maintain its quality customer service and remain Utah family’s favorite ski and snowboard resort.

Located in Big Cottonwood Canyon, Utah, Brighton receives over 500 inches of “the greatest snow on earth” each season. Brighton Resort is open to skiers and snowboarders mid-November through late April.
