Van shuttle companies operate from all three airports and can drop visitors off at the front door of their lodge or condominium. A popular service from DIA is Resort Express, which has regularly scheduled shuttles and limousine services. 970-468-7600 or 800-334-7433. Reservations are required.

High Altitude Health Tips
To enjoy vacationing at 10,000 feet, here are several tips suggested by the medical staff at the Breckenridge Medical Center:

  • Reduce consumption of alcohol, caffeine and salty foods.
  • Drink three to four times more water than usual.
  • Get plenty of rest before and during your stay.
  • Take it easy! Your heart works harder at high altitudes so quit while you're ahead if you're tired.
  • Wear sunscreen.
  • Wear sunglasses with ultraviolet protection even on cloudy or snowy days.
  • Eat foods higher in carbohydrates.
  • Dress in layers - seek new outdoor fabrics that "wick" away moisture while retaining heat.

Free Guided Tours
Visitors can make the most of their time on the slopes by learning their way around Breckenridge's four interconnected mountains with the help of experts from the resort.

  • Available for intermediate level skiers/snowboarders and above.
  • Tours depart at 10:00 a.m. daily from Beaver Run, The Village at Breckenridge, and Peak 8 base areas. Look for signs. Reservations are not required for the free tour, which takes approximately 2 hours.
