Vail Summer Adventure Ridge, located at the top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola, offers a unique twist to fun and excitement on Vail Mountain in the summer with activities for every member of the family.
Vail's popular Friday Afternoon Club mountain-top party returns to Vail Friday, July 4 with free gondola rides after 5 p.m., drink and food specials, live entertainment and beautiful sunset views of the surrounding mountain ranges. This summer's line up includes: Halden Wofford & the High Beams, Exit 232, Dexter Grove, The Ouzo Project, Lois Lafond & Rockadiles, Marcus Eaton & The Lobby, JD Simo & Dirty Pool, Phix and Lisa & Soul Stars. Adults and kids age five and above can strap into the bungee harness and explore their acrobatic side on the new Rebound Trampoline, located at the base of the Eagle Bahn Gondola on the grass.
The Thrill Sled sheds its skis from winter for wheels in the summertime for a guided, downhill adventure unlike anything else Vail has to offer. Thrill seekers 14 years and older can ride head first from the top of the gondola to the bottom on a unique trail system that includes dirt roads and terrain through the woods.
Learn how to read a map and identify key markers while maneuvering through beginner, intermediate and advanced courses.
Kids hunt for hidden dinosaur bones at the Dino Dig site. This interactive program teaches children about the art of archeology as they use tools such as shovels and paint brushes to uncover prehistoric treasures.
Come with a team or come alone and join in the fun at the indoor laser tag arena located at Eagle's Nest. Groups of up to 15 people may participate.
Visit the Eagle's Nest Discovery Center and learn about the environment through interpretive displays or create animal tracks or sand paintings. Join a guided nature hike offered through a partnership funded by Vail Resorts and operated in conjunction with the Gore Range Natural Science School to help familiarize guests with the environment on and around Vail Mountain.
Try our nine-hole Frisbee golf course located at 10,350 feet above sea level. The course is free to play with a nominal disc rental fee.
In addition to the numerous activities available at Vail Summer Adventure Ridge, mountain bike enthusiasts can find over 50 miles of cross country trails to explore on the mountain. Lift access also offers meandering rides down mountain access roads. In addition to all the trails on the mountain, there also are more than 500 miles of trails throughout the Vail Valley. Riders must stay on designated trails.
The Vail Valley has a network of well-marked, scenic trails that range from short day hikes to memorable backpacking experiences.
