It may sound bizarre to some city folks, but some of the most pampering accommodations in the West are located on guest ranches. Steamboat has several ranches to choose from that will cater to guests' every need. Some highlights include gourmet meals, stunning views and sunsets, quiet and solitude, and lessons and guided tours for horseback riding, fishing, hiking and several other recreational options.

Two of Steamboat's highly recognized and award-winning ranches include the Home Ranch and Vista Verde Guest Ranch. Both of these ranches have four-star ratings from the Mobile Travel Guide, and are known for their gourmet cuisine, variety of activities, accommodations that feature a rustic Western elegance, and peace and solitude. Strings in the Mountains Festival of Music will host over 50 concerts this summer with performances from chamber and symphony orchestras to jazz and blues greats. The Steamboat Springs Arts Depot, a renovated historic train depot that is now an art gallery, is home to many unique artistic creations from local and national artists. Displays change every few months for a new experience every visit. Those looking for a bit of big-city culture can stroll through one of the city's 13 art galleries and gaze at the creative sculptures and paintings, many of which were created by local artists.
