Shopping in Telluride, Colorado

Clapboard signs and colorful murals decorate storefronts in town, while alpine elegance surrounds the Mountain Village shops. Items from all over the world include jewelry from China, India and Japan, furniture from Mexico and Guatemala and carpets from Persia. A wide variety from toys to antiques to ice climbing gear, please the young, the extreme or the sophisticated world traveler.

Sportswear and Equipment
Telluride Sports is hard to miss, with six locations between town and Mountain Village. All shops provide ski and snowboard equipment and rentals, while the Mountain Village shops at Franz Klammer Lodge and Wyndham Peaks Resort offer high-end brands such as Bogner and Post Card.

Snowboarders like to shop for the latest in boards, boots and apparel at Easy Rider Sports and Telluride Slopestyle with locations both in town and Mountain Village. One of Telluride Slopestyle's owners, Dave Schuiling is a fully certified Telluride Ski & Snowboard instructor and recipient of the Colorado Ski Country USA and PSIA Instructor of the Year Award.

A homegrown sports shop, Jagged Edge Mountain Gear was started by the Quenemoen sisters, Telluriders who design their own clothing. For more outdoor gear and equipment, try Paragon Ski & Sport with three locations in town and Mountain Village or the Telluride Mountaineer on Main Street.

For the keen collector, the Telluride Antique Market houses antiques, precious treasures and decorative artwork.

Bookworks offers literature lovers a full selection of titles, as well as souvenir coffee table books of Telluride and the West. Stop in Between the Covers to enjoy a rich cup of coffee and browse a wide selection of books, guides and childrens literature.

Known for its unique houses, from vividly colored Victorians in town to luxurious log homes in Mountain Village, Telluride has a collection of stores for decorating homes with style and class.
