Summertime in Keystone, Colorado - Just For Kids
Keystone is known as one of the premier year-round family resorts. There’s a good reason – the resort offers storytelling, children’s theater, barn dances, kite flying, gold panning, Kids’ Night Out, mural painting, crafts and many more programs for every kid in the family, including Mom and Dad.
Children’s Center. The Children’s Center offers daily childcare for kids two months and older.
Kids Stay Free. Children 18 and under stay for free at Keystone in the summer if they stay in the same Keystone Lodge room or condominium unit with their parents and minimum and maximum occupancy limits are met.
Family Fun Park and Playground. Swing, climb and have fun along the shores of Keystone Lake and the Snake River. Picnic tables are available for a family lunch or dinner.
Kids’ Concerts. Kids of all ages will enjoy free one-hour ensemble performances by the National Repertory Orchestra. Kids are encouraged to interact with the musicians and learn about rhythm and instruments during the concerts. Call 800.354.4FUN for more information.
Free Activities and Festivals. Keystone offers free activities for kids every day of the week and weekend festivals, mountain bike races and art shows. The weekly activities include crafts, mural painting, barn dances, stargazing, gold panning and interactive concerts. Many activities also are available on the Mountain Passport.
Teen Fun. Keystone offers many activities that are ideal for teens, including whitewater rafting, kayaking and much, much more. And with hiking, biking and sailing, teenagers who visit Keystone won’t be bored.
Kids Night Out. Kids Night Out gives parents a quiet night to themselves, while the kids get to play, do crafts and watch movies with others their age. Kids Night Out is offered free with the Mountain Passport. Reservations are required.
Free Shuttles. Free shuttles run frequently around the resort. The shuttles are a safe, reliable way for older kids to explore Keystone on their own.
Family Friendly Dining. Families have many options at Keystone, from the Bavarian-Style Der Fondue Chessel on North Peak to a llama lunch hike, a horse-drawn wagon dinner ride or dinner at Out of Bounds (with it’s new downstairs arcade).
Rentals. Keystone offers cribs, strollers, playpens and high chairs for families staying at Keystone-managed properties. The resort also provides video rentals at the Adventure Center in Keystone Village and rents top-of-the-line ski and snowboard equipment.
