Fun for Kids of All Ages at Keystone, Colorado

Adventure Passport
Every room reservation booked through Keystone Resort Reservations includes free a Adventure Passport, providing guests with free and Discounted activities ice skating, snowshoeing, yoga classes, wine tastings, free babysitting with Kids' Night Out and more. The Adventure Passport turns an average ski trip into a complete mountain vacation.

New Children's Center in River Run
This year Keystone will have two Children's Centers, one in River Run and the other in the Mountain House Base Area, for ultimate convenience for parents. The Children's Centers offer daily childcare and fun, crafts and activities for kids two months to 12 years. The new center in River Run will feature a courtyard with a large tree in its center, as well as interactive games and individual break-out rooms for different age groups. The forest theme will prevail in the entire center, which will also be home to the Kids' Night Out program offered on the Adventure Passport.

Kids' Ski and Snowboard School
The resort offers full-day ski school for kids ages 4 to 14 and full-day snowboard lessons for kids ages 8 to 14. Special theme days feature environmental education and instruction in the terrain park. Keystone's Learn-to-Ski Program offers 3-year-olds a two-hour lesson in the morning and then an afternoon making arts and crafts and playing. Reservations are required. Keystone's Snowplay Program offers kids 3 and older a two-hour outdoor experience playing in the snow as well as indoor adventures. Mom, Dad and Me is a private lesson for children and their parents that gives instruction in a comfortable family group setting. Reservations are required for lessons.

Children's Ski & Snowboard School at Keystone, Colorado

With Keystone Mountain, North Peak and The Outback as classrooms, learning is endless. Keystone offers locations for its top-rated ski and snowboard school at each of Keystone's base areas - River Run and Mountain House - and plenty of choices for skiers and snowboarders of all sizes, ages and abilities. And Keystone is easy for parents, with rentals and equipment storage onsite to prevent that heavy and often chaotic ski and snowboard burden before and after lessons. Three-Year-Old Learn to Ski Program

  • This ski program is designed specifically for 3-year-olds just learning to ski.
  • Full- and half-day programs are available. Reservations are required.
  • The full-day program includes a morning ski lesson with afternoon arts and crafts and is only offered at the Mountain House Children's Center.
  • Class size is small so children get the most out of their introduction to skiing.

Children's Ski and Snowboard School Program
(Ages 4-9/snowboard programs begin at age 8)

  • Children's programs are designed and paced according to age and ability.
  • Adventure Days are offered and include Ske-Cology(r) environmental learning and Treasure Hunt Day. Kids also have the opportunity to explore forts, tunnels and special kids-only trails on the mountain. 

Junior Ski and Snowboard School
(Ages 10-14)

  • Beginner to expert skiers and riders will learn new skills and tricks while having fun.
  • Classes feature special Adventure Days, including Snowblade Day. 

Mom, Dad and Me

  • Keystone offers a one-hour private lesson for Mom, Dad and one child every day.
  • For just $50, two adults and one child receive personalized instruction on the mountain with a Keystone children's ski or snowboard instructor.

Tunnels, Forts and Other Adventures

  • Keystone is a playground for kids of all ages, especially the youngest ones. The resort has six family adventure areas located on Keystone Mountain.
  • Kids can take a trip through the biggest mine on the mountain - Silver Spruce Mine - then visit Claim Jumper's Cabin, a miniature replica of an old mining cabin or Fort Saw Whiskers. Fort Outback at the base of Keystone Mountain allows kids to explore the Hartman Hotel, while Indian Burial Grounds, Lost Boots Cemetery and Lost Mine give them even more to explore.
